The individual must be age 18 or older, as well as have a documented history of a conduct disorder before the age of 15. A. Since antisocial personalities are marked by a longstanding of irresponsible or unlawful behaviors that violates social norms; lying, stealing, and fighting (abusiveness) are their common behaviors. Persons with antisocial personality s disorder often do not experience shame or remorse for their hurtful actions. Their actions are marked by indifference to the rights of others. So I would say there are probably a lot of the rich and/or famous persons that just weren t or haven t been professionally diagnosed. Our world culture seems to allow for some level of anti-social personality disorder. Few people did come to mind Ken Lay OJay Simpson Napoleon and Dillinger, Pretty Boy Floyd, Christie andJohn Wayne Gacy , Charles Sobhraj, Charles… [cont.]

A. Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a serious mental illness characterized by pervasive instability in moods, interpersonal relationships, self-image, and behavior. This instability often disrupts family and work life, long-term planning, and the individual's sense of self-identity. Would ADD mimic any symptoms of Antisocial Personality Disorder?
Q. Such as lack of remorse, distant, cold, un-empathetic? Strange question I know but I'm just studying up? For instance, could someone with severe ADD or ADHD be so distracted that they would seem like they don't care as much & get over things easier? Plus, how about the impulsive nature? Doing harmful or self-destructive things? WOuld someone with knowledge on the subject please show me similarites & contrasts?

A. In my opinion, no. ADD/ADHD shares symptomologies with that of Bi-Polar Disorder, (not Anti-social personality disorder) and the two are easily confused. To the uneducated ADD is the same as schizophrenia. LOL. (though in reality, the educated know this isn't fact). ADD/ADHD varies slightly between childhood diagnois and adult diagnois, though most with ADD/ADHD have been diagnosed since childhood. There remains present the hyperactivity, the short attention span (becoming easily distracted and/or bored with routine tasks); figiting or restlessness and impulsivity. Personality Disorders are much different, from a psychological viewpoint than that of ADD. Though people with ADHD are impulsive and often act without thinking, they are… [cont.]
